Frequently asked questions about Wedding Videography

Videography FAQ:

Why have a wedding video?:

A wedding Video is very different from your Photographs. Where as your chosen Photographer will be very involved to ensure well posed shots of you and your family, we will be in the background through out the day to make sure we capture the special moments like the Brides reaction to the Best Mans speech for instance.

You will be surprised at all the little things you may miss on your day, and how this detail is captured in the finished film.

Occurrences such as batteries dying during the 'I dos', no sound, or shots where the Brides head is cut off wont happen with an experienced videographer; compared to your close friend with a basic camcorder. Remember you will never get a second chance to film your wonderful day.

We use additional microphones during the vows and speeches to capture clear audio, we have a professional editing suite to edit and mix the raw footage and produce a sophisticated, professional video for you to be proud of.

When would I receive my finished wedding video?

Your wedding video will be ready within four to seven weeks. We do not compromise on quality and rush your video, so you get the quality you have paid for.  We will contact you and let you know when it will be ready.

What if I want extras that are not included in your package?

On the price pages you will find our standard package price and a list of all the extras you can add on If there is anything that you would like us to include that you do not see; then don't hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to discuss your ideas.

Do I really need two cameras?

Using two different cameras allows us to capture shots that we would otherwise not be able to. It enables us to get more shots and pick up on all the little details you may miss; this makes your finished video look flawless, more interesting and professional.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use Cannon XH-A1 cameras which film in High Definition along with professional microphones made by Sennheiser. We use Final Cut Express HD editing software which enables us to mix your footage together, do professional title sequences, and add the music of your choice.

Will the editing make a difference?

Our style of editing will greatly enhance the finished video. Editing is the key to giving the original footage a more touching and atmospheric feel. We always attempt to produce an interesting and personal film that actively involves your family and friends.

Editing techniques are used to emphasise scenes which hi-light emotions and special moments of the day. To produce a smooth and natural flow to the film, we remove any obvious hesitations. Music of your choice, whether that be old, new, classical or  jazz, this is then added to your video to enhance the viewing experience that little bit more.

Why us?

Just to name a few reasons, we don't subcontract Videographers. The person you meet to discuss the ideas will be who attends your wedding. We also hold the relevant licences and insurance.

We offer different styles to suit your tastes and needs. You can have your wedding or special occasion filmed with a modern, contemporary feel that has pace and vibrancy to reflect your day. Or maybe you would prefer a slower more classic and traditional style, in black and white to reflect the romance and elegance of your day.

We believe very strongly in good customer service. We will always tailor your video to how you want it – after all it is your big day. We own the camera equipment and editing software we use, as opposed to renting. We believe that our prices reflect value, especially compared with other expenses you have on your wedding day such as the dress, flowers, and the reception.
